Women make up around a quarter of the workforce in the aerospace industry worldwide. Zonta International presents the Amelia Earhart Fellowship in order to carry out its purpose of ensuring that women have equal access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions with men.
The Amelia Earhart Fellowship was founded in 1938 in honor of Amelia Earhart, a famous flyer and Zontian. Up to 35 women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences will receive the $10,000 Fellowship each year.
It can be utilized in any authorized university or college that offers post-graduate courses and degrees in these fields.
