The Yunus Centre Social Fiction Design Competition 2022 is now accepting applications.

The Social Fiction Design Competition is a worldwide competition for students and young people to envisage a young person’s existence in the year 2050.

What sort of planet would you like to live on? Take real-world societal concerns and come up with your own fictional remedies! You can do everything you set your mind to. Use writing, art, rhetoric, cinematography, animation, or poster display to explain oneself.

Category

Use any of the following categories to submit your idea:

Writing: Short paragraphs relating to a narrative about a future without societal issues.

Rhetoric: A short speech describing how a solution to a specific social problem might lead to the creation of a new society.

Illustration: Use their Social Fiction topic to demonstrate creativity via drawing or graphic design.

Animation: Based on a narrative about addressing societal issues or envisioning a world without them.

Cinematography: Making their own film, filmed as they wish, while conforming to the Social Fiction premise.

Poster Presentation: Public awareness posters depicting the social issue and a redesigned reality free of such issues.

You can apply if you have an idea to solve any of the following issues: Environment and Climate Change, Micro-credit, Agriculture, Technology and Innovation, Transport, Literature, Music, Waste, Circular Economy, Tourism, WASH, Employment, Sports, Health and Well-being, and others.
