International students may apply for a variety of international student scholarships at York University’s Glendon Campus.

They are as follows:

York Entrance Scholarships and Awards

This award is for foreign first-year university students and does not need an application.

Students are automatically considered for the prize as a result of this.

President’s International Scholarship of Excellence

Each year, twenty (20) of these scholarships are offered, each worth $45,000 per year.

It is renewable for another three years of full-time undergraduate study if the student maintains a satisfactory academic standing each year, for a total of $180,000 over four years.

International Entrance Scholarship of Distinction

Each year, three scholarships at $35,000 each are given out.

It may be extended for another three years of full-time study if the student maintains satisfactory academic standing each year.

Global Leader of Tomorrow Award for International Students

Each year, two of these scholarships are given out.

It is worth $20,000 per year and is renewable for three more years of full-time undergraduate education provided the student maintains acceptable grades.

Tentanda Via Award

This fellowship is given to fifteen undergraduate students who have faced considerable personal obstacles and have surmounted them in order to pursue a university degree.

It costs $30,000 a year and can be extended for three more years of full-time undergraduate study.

International Circle of Scholars Scholarship

Each year, one of these $15,000 scholarships is offered to a student in their first year of study.

York University Academic Excellence Scholarships for International Students

Each year, five to ten of these scholarships are given out, each worth $5,000 to $10,000 and used to a student’s first year of study.

Annie Demirjian ’77 Scholarship

This is one of the Glendon Entrance Scholarships & Awards, which is worth $5,000 to $10,000 per year and is given to a prospective international student enrolled to Glendon who has excelled academically.

Glendon International Scholarship

The scholarship is given to a new foreign student who has been accepted to Glendon and has excelled academically (85 percent and higher).

York University International Student Scholarships Requirements

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for York University International Student Scholarships and Awards:

To study in Canada, you must be an international student who requires a Study Permit.

You must have applied to a York undergraduate degree program that starts in the fall of 2022.

You will get a 9-digit York reference number within 5 business days after applying for admission to York.

York applicants must have applied immediately from high school, within two years of graduation, and had no prior university or college courses.

Must have shown leadership in the community or by achievements in the arts, athletics, or other areas of personal success.

Must have a strong academic record, with a “A” average or above.
