YALI Cameroon Peace Advocacy Award for Young People within Cameroon 2022
In conjunction with the US Embassy in Yaoundé, Cameroon, the Mandela Washington Fellows are accepting applications for the YALI Cameroon Peace Advocacy Award for Young People in Cameroon in 2022.
The goal of the Award is to promote peace-building and youth advocacy in the Republic of Cameroon in order to combat hate speech and youth violence.
Worth of Scholarship
Mr. or Miss YALI Peace will be crowned in front of the US Embassy Delegation in Yaounde, Cameroon, Government Delegates, Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni, and Civil Society Leaders, and will be viewed by over 10,000 people online and in person at the Grand National YALI Peace Symposium in Yaounde in May 2022.
In addition, you will receive an Award Toolkit to help you with your peace project or campaign.
YALI Cameroon Peace Advocacy Award | Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet certain requirements to be considered.
- have a current peacebuilding project or effort with strong evidence to show your influence on peacebuilding
- be a Cameroonian citizen who has lived in Cameroon for 5 years
- be between the ages of 18 and 35.
