Full Scholarships for MSc or PhD Students at World Maritime University 2022
TETA welcomes employed South Africans to apply for full scholarships to study marine affairs for an MSc or PhD at the World Maritime University (WMU) in Malmo, Sweden, during the 2022/23 academic year.
The Transport Education Training Authority (TETA) is at the forefront of transportation skill innovation. The learner must conduct research-based activities in the SA environment that are relevant to South Africa’s maritime setting in order to qualify for the funding opportunity.
Worth of Scholarship
Tuition, field studies, insurance, housing, a monthly living stipend, and a flight ticket return to South Africa are all covered by the financing while in Malmö.
World Maritime University Scholarships | Eligibility Criteria
- You must be a citizen of South Africa.
- You must be accepted by WMU academically.
- You must be employed and have worked for your present employer for at least 12 months.
- You must have at least three years of marine experience in South Africa.
- You must have secured permission from your present employer to participate in the program, and you must be able to return to work after the program is completed.
- Priority will be given to women when it comes to financing.
- Priority for financing will be given to middle managers and above.
How to Apply for the World Maritime University Scholarships
Please follow the steps below to apply for a study program at WMU:
- Complete the WMU admissions application (please attach your Matric certificate showing a pass in English)
- a certified copy of your passport or your passport application
- a certified copy of your identification
- TETA Motivational Statement
- A letter of support from your present employer indicating that you are eligible to participate in the program and that you will be able to return to work following completion (sabbatical/unpaid leave may be considered).
- Your employer should fill out the Financial Support Application and email it to [email protected].
