Wayne and Theresa Embry Fellowship 2022 for Canadians ($35,000 CAD stipend)

The Wayne and Theresa Embry Fellowship 2022 is now accepting applications. Two Canadians will be given the chance to receive direct experience in professional basketball operations setting as part of the Fellowship.

The Raptors have committed to providing at least one of the fellowship chances to a member of a disadvantaged and/or racialized group.

Rotations are included in the fellowship to allow for the development of knowledge and experience in all aspects of an NBA basketball team. Coaching, scouting, team services, player development, medical, financial, equipment, travel, and the G-League are just a few of them.

Each rotation will have a mentor and particular tasks to learn about the many departments that make up an NBA organization.

Benefits

  • You’ll also get the chance to obtain event operations experience at NBA Summer League and the Basketball Without Borders global camp hosted during NBA All-Star weekend as a fellow.
  • As part of the Fellowship experience, travel and lodging for these activities will be paid.
  • The fellow will start after the NBA draft and before the start of the 2021-22 season, with a stipend of $35,000 CAD given out semi-monthly.

Requirements for the Wayne and Theresa Embry Fellowship

The Toronto Raptors are searching for people who, like Wayne and Theresa Embry, are passionate about social impact and basketball.

Community leaders with a love for basketball and/or working professionals with a passion for the game are ideal candidates.
