Financial Support Scholarships at University of Queensland 2022

The University of Queensland is now accepting applications for Financial Support Scholarships for the Master of Advanced Economics program beginning in 2022.

The Master of Advanced Economics (MAdvEcon) degree is intended to serve as a stepping stone to the PhD program at the School of Economics. An alternate route is to enroll in an authorized Bachelor of Economics (Honours) program.

Worth of Scholarship

Scholarships will be automatically evaluated for applications to the Master of Advanced Economics (MAdvEcon). The institution may, at its discretion, provide a variety of Scholarship packages.

University of Queensland Financial Support Scholarships | Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the program;

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent as recognized by the executive dean, or a relevant postgraduate degree in economics or a kindred subject, is required.
  • Satisfy the Executive Dean that the applicant is qualified for admission based on their academic record.
  • Applicants must have a minimum overall grade of 4 as well as a C in all macro skills. CES – 176 in total and 169 in all subbands.
  • Please keep in mind that the Master of Advanced Economics degrees (16 and 24 units) are exclusively offered to PhD candidates at the School of Economics.
  • Applicants interested in pursuing a coursework Masters program might look into the alternative degrees available in the School of Economics portfolio of programs.

How to Apply for the University of Queensland Financial Support Scholarships

Your MAdvEcon application must contain the following supporting documents:

  • Academic CV
  • Academic transcripts from previous years
  • Evidence of English language requirements (if applicable, GMAT/GRE score sheets)
  • At least two referee reports
  • There is no requirement to find a supervisor prior to applying.
  • There will be two rounds of application review.

Deadline: The first round of applications has a deadline of 30 April, while the second application round has a deadline of 30 September.
