The University of Macau (UM) is presently accepting applications for its international postgraduate scholarships from students who have excelled academically.

International candidates to UM’s full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs who fulfill the program’s entrance standards are encouraged to apply.

The international Student Scholarship program seeks to encourage more international students to the University of Macau to complete their studies (UM). Bachelor’s and Master’s students are eligible for the grant.

Students from the University of Macau (UM), including undergraduates and postgraduates, who excel in academics or extracurricular activities will be eligible for scholarships and academic awards.

Requirements for the University of Macau Scholarships

Applicants for University of Macau International Students Scholarships must satisfy the following requirements:

International students are required to apply.
A bachelor’s degree certificate is required for applicants.
International candidates who fulfill the entrance standards for full-time Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs at the University of Michigan.
An applicant who is a Chinese citizen (including Macao SAR, Hong Kong SAR, and Taiwan SAR) is not regarded as an international applicant.

Scholarship Benefit

The following perks will be provided to successful candidates for University of Macau International Students Scholarships:

Scholarship Package (for Bachelor)

Waiver of:

Tuition fee;
Residential College fee (shared bedroom);
Honours College certificate programme fee (if applicable); and
Minor programme fee (if applicable).

The Scholarship may last up to the regular study time of the accepted program, which is usually 4 or 5 years.

Scholarship Package (for Master)

Waiver of:

Tuition fees; and
Postgraduate House (twin room) fee

The Scholarship may last up to the standard study time of the accepted program, which is usually 2 or 3 years.

How to Apply for the University of Macau Scholarships

To be considered for the University of Macau International Students Scholarships, eligible applicants will be automatically evaluated. There is no need to submit a separate scholarship application.
