Suitable candidates are encouraged to apply for admission to the University of Uyo’s one-year Basic Studies program for the academic year 2022/2023.

The Basic Studies program is meant to prepare students for the Joint Universities Preliminary Tests Board examinations (JUPEB). Holders of the JUPEB certificate would thereafter be admitted to the University of Uyo’s degree programs at the 200 level via Direct Entry JAMB in the following programs:

UNIUYO JUPEB Admission Requirements

Candidates must have secured a minimum of five (5) credit passes at the SSCE/WASCE, GCE O/L/NECO, and NABTEB in not more than two (2) sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) other subjects relevant to their course of study. A University Screening Test is normally required for admission to the program. Please keep in mind that this will be a computer-based test (CBT). Successful candidates of the JUPEB examination will be admitted into 200 level in different degree programs at the University of Uyo at the conclusion of the program, providing they meet the admission standards for such programs.

NOTE: Admission to this program is not dependent on a JAMB score. Candidates for the 2022 UTME may also apply since this program will not have a supplementary application.

How to Apply for UNIUYO JUPEB Admission Form

Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of N15,500.00 (fifteen thousand five hundred Naira) solely via the Remita Payment Platform.

  1. Go to www.uniuyo.edu.ng or http://eportals.uniuyo.edu.ng (Click on the link to e-portals).
  2. Click on the Create Account link after selecting Basic Studies.
  3. Fill in your information and click the Create Account button.
  4. Select Make Payment.
  5. Choose Bank Option or Card Option
  6. Select Generate e-Invoice (Bank Option) or Online Payment (Card Option)
  7. Select Print e-Invoice (to produce a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number that may be used to pay at any Bank Branch).
  8. If you selected the card option, choose a payment method type and then click Pay. Enter your card information on the provided payment platform and click the “Pay” button.
  9. Return to the portal and click on Login Form Link to finish your registration. Enter your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Number obtained at the bank or by card.

NOTE:

(i) During the Screening Exercise and following the offer of admission, the same passport image used for online registration will be utilized.

(ii) After submission, no complaints about incorrect bio-data or a blank image will be considered.

(iii) Candidates who upload incorrect bio-data will be dismissed instantly.

(iv) After admission, all fees are paid using the same way.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Registration will close on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

ONLINE SCREENING EXERCISE DATE: Candidates will be notified of the date for the online screening exercise.
