University of Ibadan (UI) Vacation Notice to Students

The University of Ibadan (UI) administration discussed the current industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), which had been prolonged by eight (8) weeks, during its meeting on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.

As a result, the University’s academic operations have slowed to a halt.

Consequently, the Vice-Chancellor has ordered the University to shut until further notice on behalf of the Senate.

As a result, all students are required to leave the residence halls as soon as possible.

This vacation notice is not applicable to postgraduate students who have paid their school fees or undergraduate students on the industrial attachment or practical training. For housing arrangements, such students should go to the Dean of Students’ Office.

In due time, a new resumption date will be announced.

The administration wishes all of our students a safe journey to their varied destinations.

Thank you.
