Turing Network Development Awards for Universities in the UK 2022
The Turing Network Development Awards 2022 are currently accepting applications.
Awards will be given to UK institutions with a demonstrated track record of research excellence and translation in data science, AI, or a similar discipline, whose research and innovation will be greatly benefited by active participation in the Institute’s network.
This is designed to:
- Begin to build or expand an active and diverse community of people working (at all career levels) in data science and AI research and innovation at the institution who are aware of and involved in the Turing network’s prospective possibilities and projects.
- Identify and build relationships between Institute priority areas and university areas of interest and competence, including an initial conversation about contribution and cooperation.
- Host events/projects that are open to the larger data science and AI research and innovation community, as well as local and regional communities, in order to foster new connections and partnerships.
- Map the university’s skills and capabilities in each of the Institute’s key areas, as well as those believed to be of national strategic relevance (data science and AI) that the Institute has not yet covered.
- Create strategies for ensuring the network’s long-term viability.
Award
- Successful universities will be awarded up to £25,000.
Turing Network Development Awards Requirements
- Universities in the United Kingdom will be given awards.
- They should have a track record of research excellence and translation in data science, AI, or a similar discipline whose research and innovation will benefit greatly from active participation in the Institute’s network.
Application for Turing Network Development Awards
Applicants wishing to apply must complete the following steps:
- Read the Turing Network Development Call Document which includes the eligibility criteria (last updated 18 November 2021).
- Complete and submit an application by Thursday 9 December at 17:00.
