Swedish Institute Creative Force Program for International Projects in 2022

In 2022, proposals for seed financing and joint projects from the Swedish Institute Creative Force Program will be accepted.

Swedish Institute Creative Force Program

It is a program that provides cash for overseas initiatives.

It is accessible to Swedish organizations and their collaborators in our target countries that seek to improve democracy, human rights, and freedom of expression via media or the arts.

In most cases, projects should take place wholly in the target nation, or in both Sweden and the target country.

Please be aware that the Swedish Foreign Ministry recommends against visiting certain countries (or regions within countries).

The ministry’s website has further information (in Swedish).

Although partners or participants from these countries may be included in a Creative Force project, the initiative should be carried out in another target nation or in Sweden.

Worth of Award

There are two kinds of grants available via the Swedish Institute Creative Force program:

Seed financing may be used to complete a modest project or to design a bigger project for which you intend to seek finance.

  • You and your overseas partner may apply for up to SEK 100,000 for a project that must be completed within a year of receiving financing.
  • They advise applying for seed financing before applying for a bigger joint project award.

Larger initiatives that entail knowledge sharing, capacity growth, or technique development are referred to as collaborative projects.

  • They advise applying for this sort of award to scale up a project that has already obtained seed money.
  • You and your overseas partner may apply for a total of SEK 500,000 every year.
  • A project’s lifespan is limited to 24 months from the time it receives money (in other words, you can apply for max. SEK 1 million).
