SuaCode Smartphone Programming Course 2022 for Young Africans

The SuaCode Smartphone Programming Course 2022 is now accepting applications.

SuaCode Smartphone Programming Course

SuaCode is a smartphone-based online course that teaches Africans with little or no programming expertise how to code in English and French using the SuaCode Android app. At the conclusion of the first week, 100 students will be chosen to win full scholarships from the EdTech AI firm SuaCode.ai.

Over the course of four weeks, the learner will be exposed to fundamental coding principles while spending roughly 5-7 hours per week reading lecture notes, doing quizzes and projects, and constructing a smartphone app — a pong game. After that, you’ll have a verified certificate. Learners may also connect with other Africans in their course forum and ask Kwame, SuaCode’s AI Teaching Assistant, questions.

Benefits

At the conclusion of the first week, selected students will be awarded merit and need-based scholarships based on a combination of their:

  • Need
  • Performance on quizzes and assignments, as well as
  • Helpfulness on the SuaCode forum to other SuaCoders
  • Learners who finish the course will get a certificate that can be verified and shared.
  • Learners who do very well on tasks and actively assist other students in the course forum will be eligible for private mentorship sessions with experts from tech giants like Amazon, Google, and Facebook.
