SCUT International Scholarship for Excellence in China 2022
South China University of Technology (SCUT) in China is accepting applications for the SCUT International Scholarship for Excellence for the 2022/2023 academic year. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals and in excellent health.
The International Scholarship for Excellence is offered by the South China University of Technology (SCUT) to excellent candidates who will matriculate into degree programs as full-time students.
For the length of the degree, selected students will be excused from tuition and registration costs in whole or in part.
The extent of the rewards is determined by the applicant’s past academic performance.
Worth of Award for SCUT International Scholarship
Selected students will receive a full or partial exemption from tuition and registration fees for the normal duration of the degree. The level of benefits depends upon the applicant’s academic excellence in previous academic achievements.
BACHELOR’S DEGREE
Majors in Chinese medium
- First-class honour: A full exemption from tuition for four years
- Second class honour: A half exemption from tuition for four years
- Third class honour: A half exemption from tuition for two years
Majors in English medium
- Second class honour: A half exemption from tuition for four years
- Third class honour: A half exemption from tuition for two years
MASTERS DEGREE
Majors in Chinese medium
- First-class honours: A full exemption from tuition for three years
- Second class honours: A half exemption from tuition for three years
- Third class honours: A half exemption from tuition for two years
Majors in English medium
- Second class honours: A half exemption from tuition for two years
- Third class honours. A half exemption from tuition for one year
DOCTORATE DEGREE
For all majors
- Full scholarship: Full exemption from tuition for three years
InSCUT International Scholarship Requirements
- Applicants must be of non-Chinese nationality and in excellent health to be considered.
- Background education and age limit
- Applicants for a Bachelor’s degree must have completed high school and be under the age of thirty.
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35 to pursue a Master’s degree.
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree and be under the age of 40 to pursue a Doctorate degree.
How to Apply for SCUT International Scholarship
Applicants must first register on the website (see link below), complete the online application form, and submit the required documents:
- Copy of passport (photo page);
- Transcripts and highest diploma;
- A study or research plan in Chinese or English (no fewer than 500 words for postgraduate candidates);
- Two letters of recommendation from former professors or associate professors in Chinese or English (only for postgraduate candidates);
- The “Physical Examination Form” for foreigners must be completed in English or Chinese.
