Scripps Howard Foundation Fellowship Program 2022
Are you ready to take the next step in your investigative journalism career? The Scripps Howard Foundation Fellowship Program 2022 is now accepting applications.
The Foundation, in collaboration with the Scripps Washington Bureau/Newsy and The Texas Tribune, provides a 12-month fellowship program.
Fellows will work at Scripps News Washington Bureau/Newsy or The Texas Tribune beginning in June, concentrating on gaining expertise in one field while being exposed to all aspects of the newsroom.
There are four tracks in the Fellowship:
- Investigative Video Reporting (at Scripps/Newsy)
- (At Scripps/Newsy) Data Reporting
- Multimedia Journalist (At The Texas Tribune)
- Visualizations of Data (At The Texas Tribune)
Benefits
- The fellowship will last for a year, starting in June 2022. It pays $50,000 and comes with a complete set of benefits.
Scripps Howard Foundation Fellowship Program Requirements
- By June 1, 2022, the applicant must have finished a bachelor’s degree;
- a minimum of 5 years of professional journalistic experience;
- From June 1, 2022, through May 26, 2023, you will be able to work;
- Have a portfolio on the internet;
- A desire to improve your leadership abilities and a love for journalism.
Application for Scripps Howard Foundation Fellowship Program
The deadline for submissions is December 19, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. There are no exceptions.
Only if you are chosen as a finalist will references be sought.
