The University of Pretoria in South Africa is giving a Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA) scholarship to students interested in studying at the institution.
The Scholarships in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa program is a distinguished one-year intensive study in which 25-30 extraordinary candidates spend six months in Pretoria and six months at one of the 12 partner institutions around Africa. They are taught by famous human rights lecturers and participate in several practical training activities.

Value of Award: Depending on the availability of funding, full scholarships covering at least tuition, accommodation and official programme activities are covered for up to 25 citizens of Africa.

- Applicants must have strong academic qualifications and have expertise with or an interest in human rights. Women, as well as members of minority groups such as indigenous peoples, LGBTI people, and disabled people, are urged to apply.
