RSUBS Admission Form – The Rivers State University Business School (RSUBS) is accepting applications for admission to its different postgraduate programs from qualified candidates. Below are the available courses, requirements, and instructions for submitting an application to Rivers State University Business School (RSUBS).

For the 2021/ 2022 academic session, applications are requested from adequately qualified candidates for admission into the Rivers State University Business School postgraduate courses at the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.

Rivers State University Business School (RSUBS) Courses

1. Post Graduate Diploma (PGD)
2. Master of Business Administration (MBA)
3. Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
4. Master of Science (M.Sc.) – Short Course
5. Doctor of Business Administration (DBA)

All programs are in the specialized areas of Accountancy, Finance, Management, Project Management, Marketing, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, International Affairs, and Office and Information Management. The Modular Part-time programs are taught in a hybrid (physical and virtual) modality from Monday through Thursday, with the exception of the Executive Master of Business Administration program, which is held on weekends to suit executives’ busy schedules.

Rivers State University Business School (RSUBS) Admission Requirements

1. PGD: First degree or equivalent, with a pass grade in cognate fields or a second class lower division in any other discipline. Work experience in a practical setting is an advantage.
2. MBA: A good first degree or equivalent with a minimum of a Second-Class grade in cognate fields and a CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale or 2.50 on a 4-point scale. Applicants with a lower level of education but a PGD are able to apply. Work experience in a practical setting is an advantage.
3. EMBA: Similar to an MBA, except candidates must have prior leadership experience in either the private or public sector at the time of application.
4. M.Sc (Short Course): A good first degree or its equivalent with a minimum of a Second-Class grade in related fields and a CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale or 3.00 on a 4-point scale, as well as an MBA. Work experience in a practical setting is an advantage.
5. Doctor of Business Administration: Applicants must have a first degree or its equivalent with a minimum of a Second Class lower division and a CGPA of 3.00 on a 5-point scale or 2.50 on a 4-point scale, or a PGD in cognate disciplines, as well as an MBA or M.Sc. with a minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 5-point scale or 3.00 on a 4-point scale, and an MBA or M.Sc. with a minimum Work experience in a practical setting is an advantage.
6. All applicants for all programs must also meet the Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt matriculation requirements, which include five O’level credits in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics (and Economics for courses in the Management Sciences).

NOTE:

In addition to the requirements listed above, a DBA candidate may be required to take a selection exam and/or an oral interview. Candidates for the DBA program must submit and defend a proposal in their field of interest.

Applicants must submit scanned copies of their academic credentials online, as well as three reference letters sent to the Director, RSUBS, one of which must be from a lecturer at the candidate’s former institution, attesting to the candidate’s excellent behavior.

Applicants must additionally request that their former institutions provide the Secretary, RSUBS, a transcript of their highest qualification.

Rivers State University Business School (RSUBS) Programs Duration

1. A minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters are required for the Postgraduate Diploma program with project or seminar.
2. A minimum of three semesters and a maximum of five semesters are required for the MBA program with a dissertation.
3. The dissertation-based EMBA program lasts a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters.
4. M.Sc. (Master of Science) – Short Course: A minimum of two semesters and a maximum of four semesters are required for the M.Sc. Short Course with Dissertation.
5. The thesis-based Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree takes a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of six semesters to complete.

The forms may be obtained online for a non-refundable cost of N30,000.00 at www.rsubs.org.ng.

For both online payment and application for the programs, follow the steps below:

• Go to the RSUBS website at https://www.rsubs.org.ng/.
• Visit https://www.businessschoolportal.rsubs.org.ng/ to access the Registration Portal.
• A page appears; fill in the following details:

2. First Name
3. Last Name
4. Phone Number

• Then click PAY.
• Please fill out the application form completely after paying the application fees.
• Submit your passport photo as well as copies of your credentials.
• Within 7 days, you will get an email with your admission status.
• If you’ve been admitted, go to the Student Portal and create an account.
