Policy Competition 2022 for Nigerian Students [Apply Now]

Application for the Policy Competition 2022 is ongoing.

The Policy Competition was conceived as a platform for the grooming and harvesting of ideas on solving some of Nigeria’s developmental challenges from its youth population.

However, the organization has invited interested undergraduate applicants to apply for the competition.

Its focus is mainly on undergraduate students currently enrolled in any Nigerian tertiary institutions.

Each participant must write a good comprehensive essay on the topic: Improving the Quality of Tertiary Education in Nigeria.

This will be used for the Policy Competition and the winner will be selected by the panel of judges.

Moreover, it is understood that tertiary education in the country has a lot to be desired.

This emphasis is hooked on continuous industrial actions by academic and non-academic staff.

Basically, Nigerian institutions also experience low-quality research outputs.

The tertiary education system is fraught with a history of underperformance and waning influence in the global academic community.

These have made the Nigerian education performance in the global ranking of universities to be as low as 1249th position.

What must be done to restore the glory of the Nigerian institutions?

A high-quality entry must present ideas on a sustainable funding model for institutions.

Enhancing linkages between the institutions, economy, and higher quality research outputs anchored on citations in reputable international journals.

The selection panels will particularly reward bold but feasible ideas that recognize the differences of the Nigerian environment.

More opportunities will be given to the winner as well as an offer proposal on the buy-in of stakeholders.

If you think you have all that it takes to successfully win the prize then let us look at the eligibility requirements.
