Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID) Global Youth Challenge 2022
The Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID) Global Youth Challenge 2022 is now accepting applications.
The Oxford Forum for International Development (OxFID) aims to stimulate youth dialogue around international development and challenge participants to come up with solutions in the realm of human rights education in collaboration with the OHCHR, UNESCO, and the Office of the Secretary General’s Envoy on Youth.
Participants are asked to come up with suggestions to help support or enhance the World Program for Human Rights Education’s implementation. The task is to figure out how to implement and improve human rights education by, for, and with youth and young people.
Benefits
The top three winners will have their ideas recognized and reinforced by the Office of the Secretary-Envoy Generals on Youth, UNESCO, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, as well as additional possible recognition to be confirmed.
OxFID Global Youth Challenge 2022 | Eligibility Criteria
In keeping with the theme of diversity and inclusion, the challenge is accessible to young people aged 18 to 30 from all around the world, regardless of nationality or background.
The task should be completed by self-organized teams of three to five people, each with a team leader.
Apart from the age requirement, there are no constraints on the squad composition.
It is preferable to submit in English. Other official UN languages (French, Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, and Russian) are also acceptable.
Assessment Criteria
- Relevance, effectiveness, innovation, impact, and sustainability will be used to evaluate solutions.
- The following are the criteria’s guiding questions:
- Relevance:
- How well does the solution meet one or more of the aforementioned areas of human rights education?
- How much of the solution was created with, for, and by youth?
- Effectiveness:
- In what ways does the solution use the right methodologies?
- Creativity:
- In what ways does the solution approach human rights education in a fresh and innovative way?
- To what degree is the solution offered in a user-friendly and innovative way?
- Impact:
- What is the scope and depth of the solution’s potential impact?
- Sustainability:
- To what extent can the solution be sustained over time and have a long-term impact?
How to Apply for the OxFID Global Youth Challenge 2022
The form must be submitted before April 30th, 2022, at 23:59 UTC. Each team is only permitted to submit one entry.
