OSCE – UNODA Scholarship for Peace and Security

“Conflict prevention and resolution via weapons control, disarmament, and non-proliferation” is the subject of this comprehensive training program.

The training program intends to engage young professionals in conflict prevention and provide a fresh perspective on weapons control, disarmament, and non-proliferation solutions, all while working toward a more inclusive and gender-balanced approach to peace and security. It helps to achieve equality of opportunity by enhancing women’s involvement in policy-making, planning, and implementation activities in this sector.

The program comprises an 8-week online component that will begin on May 23, 2022, and a week-long in-person training session in Vienna, Austria, that will take place in the autumn of 2022.

Scholarship

Nationals of OSCE member states and Partners for Cooperation may apply for 150 online scholarships. 50 successful female registrants will be selected to attend the in-person workshop in Vienna.

Requirements for the OSCE – UNODA Scholarship for Peace and Security

  • Be a citizen of an OSCE member state or one of the OSCE Partners for Cooperation;
  • At the time of application, you must be between the ages of 22 and 32.
  • Interested in preventing and resolving conflicts, weapons control, non-proliferation, and disarmament, with a particular emphasis on OSCE-relevant measures;
  • Interested in sharing new ideas, increasing your network, and learning about employment prospects in the relevant fields?
