The New York Times Fellowship is a one-year internship program designed to develop the next generation of journalists.

The fellowship is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to contribute outstanding journalism to The New York Times.

Speakers, feedback, and training opportunities are all included.

The purpose of the program is to benefit not just the participants and The New York Times, but also other newsrooms.

They anticipate that the majority of their classmates will go on to work in other parts of the nation and the globe.

The New York Times has spent heavily in talent for more than a century, resulting in Pulitzer Prizes and top media careers.

They are passionate about spotting and encouraging the future generation of journalists.

It is also a sacred and urgent obligation for them.

  • Fellows work full time, are paid, and receive benefits. They are Guild-represented employees.

Eligibility

  • Journalists with some experience who are just starting out in their careers, including recent undergraduate and graduate school graduates, are welcome to apply.
  • Applicants must be able to work legally in the United States.
