The Eligible Requirements for NDDC Scholarship

For you to be eligible for the NDDC scholarship.

You need to meet the following requirements;

  • Have completed your Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division for those wishing to undertake a Master’s Degree course.
  • If you are a Ph.D. applicant, you have to earn a Master’s degree from any recognized university.
  • You have applied and been offered admission to any foreign University (proof needed).
  • Applicants who have already enrolled in Overseas’ Universities are NOT eligible to apply.
  • Guarantor’s written consent of good conduct of the applicant from any of the following persons from the applicant’s community/clan.
  1. Member of National Assembly/State House of Assembly
  2. Chairman of your Local Government Area
  3. First Class Traditional Ruler
  4. High Court Judge
  • Persons with confirmation of cult membership or criminal record shall not be granted the scholarship.
  • Candidates must have completed the compulsory National Youth Service (NYSC).

Scholarship Worth

The NDDC scholarship is a fully paid tuition fee scholarship for the duration of your study at the admitted foreign university.

However, this scholarship will also cover your accommodation fees, feeding, transport, one-time travel ticket per year, book expense, Health insurance, and more.

You are expected to stay in accordance with the commission rules in order to still be a beneficiary.

How to Apply for NDDC Scholarship 2022

Here is the process on how to apply for the NDDC scholarship 2022.

Visit the official scholarship website and submit the following documents.

  1. Recent passport photograph
  2. Local Government identification letter.
  3. Post Graduate (PG) admission letter from a recognized Overseas University.
  4. Relevant Degrees from a recognized University.
  5. N.Y.S.C Discharge/Exemption Certificate.

The submitted documents must be authentic with the holder’s valid name.

However, only the completed online application form will be assigned a registration number automatically.

After you have been assigned a registration number.

You are to print the hard copy of your online generated form for ease of evidence.

Moreover, all shortlisted candidates will be published on the NDDC website

Things to Know

  • The Commission will not enter into any form of communication with candidates who were not shortlisted for the computer-based test (CBT)
  • Those who were not invited for oral interviews or candidates that were not successful at the oral interviews.
  • Preference would be given to candidates from oil producing/bearing communities/Local Government areas as long as candidates meet the approved cut-off mark.
  • The Commission will ensure a fair spread of course among beneficiaries within each State.
  • Deferment, change of institution, and course are not permitted.
  • The Commission reserves the sole and absolute discretion to select in line with the above-stated criteria its internal consideration.
  • The decision of the Commission in this regard is final.
