NCDMB 4th National Essay Competition and N2m in Prizes to be a win.

This is to inform all the undergraduate students in Level 100 and 200 that the NCDMB National Essay competition is ongoing.

The NCDMB aimed is to promote the academic quality of the Nigerian youth in Oil and Gas industry.

However, the scholarship has continuously been an annual Essay Competition for different students from different universities.

They use this scheme to create awareness for the Nigerian youth to build and invest their time in local capabilities.

Participating in the Oil and Gas industry as alway being their main keynote for the Nigerian Youth.

As its being done, there are requirements for the contest as well as contest rules each student needs to obey.

NCDMB 4th National Essay Competition Contest Rules.

For you to participate in the NCDMB 4th National Essay Competition, you are to abide by the following:

  • Be a Level 100 or 200 students in public and private Universities in Nigeria
  • Polytechnic students in ND1 or 2 can also apply.
  • Applicant from the College of Education is also eligible to apply.
  • You must submit either a letter of admission or a signed letter of attestation from his/her Head of Department (HOD).
  • Participant must ensure that all their essay work are original and written by them.
  • Co-authorship of essays is not permitted.
  • Participants are to submit only one entry.
  • Completed manuscripts and accompanying documents must be submitted to ncdmbessay.com
  • Late manuscripts will not be considered. Hardcopy submissions will not be accepted.
  • You are required to register on the website before initiating your application.
  • Your manuscripts must not be more than 1,500 words.
  • Current contact information of each entrant including phone number and email address must accompany the manuscript.
  • Participants’ names shall not appear on the manuscript, but on a different title page to be removed when a number is assigned to the entry.
  • The shortlisted participants will be contacted for the virtual interactive assessment to defend their submitted essays.

What are the prizes to be won in NCDMB Essay Competition?

The Prizes will be awarded as follows: 

  • The First winner of the contest will be awarded N1,000,000.
  • Second Position will be awarded N500,000.
  • The third position will be awarded N300,000.
  • Other winners from the 4th through the 10th positions are entitled to receive a laptop as consolidation prizes.

How Will The NCDMB National Essay Competition be Judged?

Thou, they can be an additional way to justify that each student treated equally with proper examination.

The essays competition will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Clarity of Expression,
  • Spelling and Grammar,
  • The originality of thought,
  • Depth of Analysis,
  • Relevance to Industry, and
  • Conformity to Contest Rules.

All essays will be subjected to plagiarism check (software application) to determine originality.

How to Submit Your Essay for NCDMB National Essay Competition.

To submit your essay, participant needs to following this procedures;

  1. Submit only one entry.
  2. Completed manuscripts and accompanying documents must be submitted to ncdmbessay.com

NOTE: Do not include your personal details inside the ESSAY CONTENT ie your email, phone number, address, name, University, and state or else it will be disqualified.

The NCDMB 4th National Essay Competition deadline is 25th September, 2022

Any successful participant on the top 10 Finalists will be notified by the  16th of October 2022.

The virtual award  ceremony comes up 27th October, 2022
