Both local and foreign applicants are eligible for the Crisis Healthcare Management in MS Scholarship.

This fully supported 3-year PhD grant offers an exciting chance to do consumer-driven research with the MS community (patients, professionals, and healthcare providers) as well as the emergency-response community.

Murdoch University Crisis Healthcare Management Scholarship | Details

The project allows you to do both qualitative and quantitative research, depending on your background and interests and is ideal for someone interested in public health, clinical practice, health services, and/or psychology.

Co-design and co-leadership of a research topic of your choice, anchored in the project’s broader goals, will be part of the project. While some data has already been gathered, you will be required to help with participant recruiting, data gathering and analysis, paper preparation, and interacting with stakeholders concerning the findings’ interpretation and distribution.

Murdock University Crisis Healthcare Management Scholarship | Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must satisfy the following requirements to be considered for the Murdoch University Crisis Healthcare Management Scholarship:
  • A score of 7.0 or higher on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or a TOEFL score of 110 or higher (0.5 pt)
  • A first-class Honours or Masters degree in a relevant subject of psychology, public health, medicine, or allied health with a thesis component.
  • Interpersonal communication abilities have been demonstrated and developed with the multidisciplinary and collegial team, as well as with public and professional representatives.
  • High levels of written and spoken English communication, as well as the capacity to adapt to fast-changing communication and technological demands.
  • Demonstrated commitment to improving health outcomes and opportunities for disadvantaged groups, particularly MS patients.

  • CV
  • academic transcript (from former universities)
  • single page demonstrating your interest in the C-RIMS project and prospective research issues you may want to address as part of the project (e.g. manuscript or thesis) example of written work as the primary author (e.g. manuscript or thesis)
  • Please add an ID with your initials and date/month of birth on any papers indicated. (e.g. YCL0306). This will allow us to examine applications anonymously.
