Applicants must meet the following criteria to be deemed eligible:

Must be international students.
Must have a bachelor’s degree with first- or upper-second-class honours or a research master’s degree from a recognized institution.

Prior to submitting an application, applicants are strongly advised to contact the appropriate Graduate Studies Convener or a potential supervisor to discuss the suggested research subject and associated topics.

Note: The scholarship is typically taken up by 31 March of the year in which it is given, however a later start date may be feasible with the consent of the prospective supervisor, Head of Department, and Dean/Director. The deadline for accepting a scholarship in a given case will be specified in the official letter of scholarship offer.
