African writers can apply for the Miles Morland Foundation African Writers’ Scholarship.
a candidate who has applied to the School of Literature, Drama, and Creative Writing for a spot on the MA Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) program.
- who is a citizen of any African country or
- who was born in any African nation or
- both of whose parents were born in Africa

The scholarship has a value of £25,000.
Miles Morland Foundation African Writers’ Scholarship | Eligibility Criteria
- This chance is available to those who have demonstrated exceptional creative writing ability.
- Both parents should have been born in Africa, as well. (If the scholarship is offered on this basis, UEA must receive copies of both parents’ passports as proof at the time the scholarship is accepted.)
