McCain Institute Next Generation Leaders Program 2022

The McCain Institute Next Generation Leaders Program 2022 is currently accepting applications.

Senator John McCain’s tradition of serving a cause bigger than oneself is embodied through the McCain Global Leaders Program, which promotes character-driven leaders from across the globe.

Each cohort will comprise 25 diverse leaders from across the globe who are working “in the arena” to promote democracy, human rights, and freedom, and will be structured as a 10-month fellowship and immersive learning program.

With the purpose of equipping today’s leaders to tackle tomorrow’s issues, the program is meant to develop each leader’s personal and professional leadership journey and impact by offering training, resources, and access to highly relevant regional and worldwide networks.

Cost

• Participants will not be paid a stipend, but the McCain Institute will pay all direct expenses associated with their participation in the program (economy class airfare, accommodations, food, and incidentals). Other than the time commitment that MGLs make to engage in programs, there will be no costs associated with participation.

McCain Institute Next Generation Leaders Program Requirements

• Applicants should be in their mid-career, have a solid knowledge of English, and be actively involved in the program’s focus problem areas.

• Aspiring McCain Global Leaders (MGLs) should work in a leadership position in their sector and be “in the arena” trying to make a difference in their communities.

• Applicants should be dedicated to serving a cause larger than themselves and fully commit to virtual engagements, in-person events, and post-program alumni activities.

• There are no educational prerequisites.
