Maine Global Partnership Scholarship in the United States is now accepting applications for the school year 2022/2023.

Each year, the Maine Scholarship is not automatically renewed.

In order for the scholarship to be extended, students must maintain full-time attendance and a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 2.00.

Furthermore, for a student joining as a first-year applicant, the reward is for a maximum of 8 semesters (4 academic years). In order to be eligible for the scholarship, recipients must be on a non-immigrant student visa, F-1 or J-1.

The University of Maine is the flagship campus of the University of Maine System and is a land, sea, and space-grant university.

This lively and active institution, located in Orono along the banks of the Stillwater River, serves Maine, the country, and the globe through its teaching, research, and outreach missions.

Worth of Award

  • This scholarship, worth up to US$12,000 per academic year, is available to international students who graduate from Maine high schools and apply to the University of Maine.
  • Typically, awards are given in conjunction with an offer of admission to the University of Maine.

Maine Global Partnership Scholarship Requirements

  • International students with a high school CGPA of 3.0 or above who are graduating from Maine high schools.
  • International transfer students are not eligible for this grant.
  • This grant is not available to graduate students.
  • This scholarship is not available to sponsored students.

How to Apply for Maine Global Partnership Scholarship

Applicants are considered for this scholarship when their application for admission is reviewed. No additional application is required.
