Colleges of Education are tertiary institutions that offer the minimum teaching qualification in Nigeria.
Aside them are other NCE (the Nigeria Certificate in Education) awarding institutions feeding the population of future teachers in the West Africa nation.
There are 152 colleges of education in Nigeria, consisting of 21 federal, 82 privates, and 49 state colleges of education.
