However, the only discrepancy between Commercial subjects and Art subjects is Account, Commerce, and Literature in English.

Arts students don’t offer Commerce and Commerce students don’t offer Literature in English.

100 Art Courses you can study at any University

Here is a compiled list of 100 art courses you can study at any university of your choice.

1. Anthropology

The art course requires you have five O’ level credits including English Language, History, Economics, and any two art subjects.

Those two art subjects should be from Government, CRK/IRK, Lit in English, or Geography.

2. Communication Arts

Communication arts require you have five O’ level credits including English Language, Literature In English, Government, and any two art subjects.

Those two art subjects should be from CRK/IRK, Economics, Civil Education, or Information and Communication Technology.

3. Arts

If you want to study Arts, then you have the option to select five art subjects with a credit pass.

The English Language is your primary subject here with an additional four subjects of your choice.

4. Criminology and Security Studies

Criminology and Security Studies require you have five credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, History or Government, and any two other subjects.

That two art subjects should be from Geography, Government or History, Christian Religious Studies or Islam Religious Studies and Civil Education.

5. Economics

Economics requires you have five O’ level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two art subjects.

The two art subjects you are to select should be from Government, History, Commerce, Accounting, Literature in English and Christian Religious Studies or Islam Religious Studies.

6. English and Literary Studies

English and Literary Studies requires you have five O’ level credits including English Language, Literature in English, and any three art subjects.

Two of those three art subjects should be from the Government, Civic Education, History, Christian Religious Studies, or Islam Religious Studies.

One of those three arts subjects should be a social science subject or related.

7. English Language and Literature

English Language and Literature require you to have five O’ level credits including English Language, Literature in English, and any three art subjects.

Two of those three art subjects should be from the Government, Civic Education, History, Christian Religious Studies, or Islam Religious Studies.

One of those three arts subjects should be a social science subject or related.

8. Fine Art

Fine Art or Fine and Applied Arts requires you to have five O’level credit pass in English Language, Fine Art, Technical drawing, or any three or two of the following;

  • Geography
  • Economics
  • Mathematics
  • Visual Art
  • Information and Communication technology
  • Civil Education

9. History and Diplomatic Studies

History and Diplomatic Studies requires you to have five O’ level credit pass in English Language, History, Government, and any two of the following;

  • Geography
  • Economics
  • Civil Education
  • Any social science subject

10. History and International Relation

This arts subject require you have five SSCE/WEAC credit pass in the following subjects;

  • English Language
  • History
  • Government
  • Economics
  • Civil Education
  • Mathematics
  • Any social science subjects

11. Law

Law is one of the popular art courses you will find thousands of students in a particular university.

However, for you to study these art courses in any university

You are required to have at least a five credit pass in English Language, Literature in English, Government, and any two of the following subjects.

  • Mathematics
  • Christian Religious Studies or Islam Religious Studies
  • History
  • Economics
  • Civil Education.

12. Linguistics

Linguistics requires you to have at least five credit pass in English Language, Literature in English, Government, Christian Religious Studies, or Islam Religious Studies and one of the following;

  • Civil Education
  • History
  • Economics
  • Geography
  • Commerce

13. Mass Communication

This art course has now been split into five categories in Nigerian Universities but the O’ level subjects’ requirement is still the same.

Here are the five O’level subject requirements for Mass Communication;

  1. English Language
  2. Government
  3. Economics
  4. Literature in English and
  5. Any subject from Geography, Civil Education, or any social science subject.

14. Political Science

Political Science requires you have at least five credit passes in English Language, Government, or History (both are still accepted) and three more subjects.

Three of those subjects should be from Economics, Christian Religious Studies or Islam Religious Studies, Commerce, Civil Education, and any social science subject.

Most universities require you must have at least a pass (d7 or E8) in Mathematics.

15. Philosophy

Philosophy requires you have at least five credits in English Language, Government, Economics, Christian Religious Studies or Islam Religious Studies, and one more subject.
