Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme 2022

The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and the Kofi Annan Foundation are happy to launch the Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme.

The fellowship will help African public health executives design, manage, and lead public health programs that will positively impact Africa’s public health.

Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for the fellowship:

• Must be African Union nationals.

• Have a master’s degree in public health.

• Have significant professional experience in public health, including but not limited to one health, medicine, finance, health economics, health policy, animal health, or environmental health (but not limited to).

• Be employed full-time at a governmental or private institution in Africa.

• Have a proven track record of excellent public health leadership that can favourably affect population outcomes.

How to Apply: Applications must be submitted online. Applicants must supply the following:

• A letter from the present employer assuring participation in the fellowship.

• two professional reference letters

• A 500-word personal statement demonstrating the applicant’s dedication to African public health.

• A 750-word proposal detailing a prospective leadership challenge initiative.
