The World Bank is a well-known international institution.

What is the World Bank Scholarship Program?

JJ/WBGSP is available to women and men from developing countries who are applying to a Master’s degree program in a development-related area and have relevant professional experience and a history of helping their countries’ development efforts.

In the United States, Europe, and Japan, there are over ten universities to choose from. You will attend one of the Partner Universities in the United States, Europe, or Japan. The scholarship is for a period of two years.

Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship Requirements

  • Be a citizen of a developing country on this list that is a World Bank member;
  • Holding dual citizenship in any modern nation is not permitted.
  • Having a Bachelor’s degree (or similar)
  • Maintain excellent health.
  • Have achieved a Bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree at least three years previous to the Application Deadline date.
  • Have worked in the development field for at least three years.
