International Scholarships at the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies, Switzerland is currently open for applications from eligible students.
The Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies is accepting applications for its International Scholarships in Switzerland for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The scholarship program reduces obstacles to our training for humanitarian workers from middle- and low-income countries. We have a highly broad mix of students in the classroom thanks to our scholarships, ensuring that their experience mirrors the variety of their working surroundings.
Such variety provides an excellent chance to strengthen bargaining and listening skills, which are both essential for project and people management success.
Worth of Award: The International Scholarships at the Geneva Centre of Humanitarian Studies are in three categories for scholarships holders:
Those with a
- Full scholarship to cover their 4-month living expenses in Geneva + MAS tuition fees.
- Scholarship to cover their 4-month living expenses in Geneva (no coverage of tuition fees).
- Scholarship to cover their tuition fees for the DAS (4 residential months in Geneva from September to December 2021) but no coverage of living expenses.
NOTE: Please be aware that all MAS and DAS scholarship holders have to contribute to the tuition fees with a minimum payment of CHF 1,000.
- For those who pay Geneva taxes for at least one year, there is an additional funding option. Candidates can apply for a “chèque annuel de formation” (training subsidy) which amounts to a maximum of CHF 2,250.
International Scholarships Eligibility
Only students from and working in one of the “least developed,” “low income,” or “lower middle income” countries are eligible for the scholarships.

- Please remember to check the box “I’d want to apply for a scholarship” on the application form for the program you’ve chosen and fill in all of the needed financial information.
