The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) was created to attract and retain world-class doctoral students.

- You must come from a war-torn, politically unstable, or economically disadvantaged region of the world.

The value of your Karen McKellin International Leader of Tomorrow Award is proportional to your financial need.
Financial need is determined by totalling tuition, fees, and living costs, and subtracting the financial contribution you and your family can make each year.
A legal needs assessment is based on the financial information provided by you and your family.

10. University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships
The Faculty of Graduate Studies offers more than $2 million dollars in University Graduate Fellowships (UMGF) each year to full-time graduate students (Master’s and PhD) to recognize academic excellence.
It is offered to students who have demonstrated superior intellectual ability and academic accomplishment.
Any graduate degree programs offered by the University of Manitoba, Canada (except those in the Faculty of Medicine and in the Master of Business Administration – MBA).
However, this scholarship is open to anyone be it international or national students.
Students must have a minimum admission GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the award. Please contact your Department as they may have a higher GPA requirement.
