Hohai University Scholarships 2022 | Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for the Hohai University Scholarships 2022:

Non-Chinese nationals who have valid passports and are physically and mentally fit are required to follow Chinese laws and regulations and to respect Chinese traditions and customs.

Chinese nationals who have acquired foreign nationalities must adhere to the applicable Ministry of Education of China laws.

The master’s candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and be under the age of 35.

A doctorate candidate must hold a master’s degree or its equivalent and be under the age of 40.

How to Apply for the Hohai University Scholarships

Applicants interested in the Hohai University Scholarships must first apply for admission to an approved programme. If an eligible candidate satisfies the scholarship conditions, he or she will be considered for the scholarship.

Application Documents:

  • a copy of the passport that has been scanned (Valid after Aug.30, 2023)
  • Scanned copies of all authentic diplomas and degrees (Chinese or English translation) beginning with undergraduate; those to be graduating should give evidence of graduation from their present institution.
  • Scanned versions of original transcripts (Chinese or English version) for all courses beginning at the undergraduate level;
  • Curriculum vitae (a list of all of your previous academic experiences since you were a freshman.) Those who have studied in China must have complete study experience);
  • Scanned copies of all China-related visas and residency permits, as well as any study-related experiences. If you don’t have one, upload your passport instead.
  • At least 800 words for a personal statement or study plan;
  • English language proficiency certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent evidence of English competence is needed for candidates from non-English speaking countries);
  • Two letters of recommendation (English or Chinese version) from associate professors or above in a relevant academic subject;
  • Form for a Physical Examination of a Foreigner. The applicant should follow the list’s instructions to the letter. The outcome is valid for a period of six months.
  • Financial evidence (either a family deposit certificate, a property certificate, or a parent/guardian income certificate, with a value of at least $5000 is recommended);
  • If there are any published articles, a catalog, and abstract;
  • Non-criminal record (those about to graduate may be able to provide evidence of outstanding grades at their present institution);
  • Signed personal commitment.
