Europe’s Prospects Future policymakers and leaders who are enthusiastic about European cooperation, want to analyze and react to present and emerging new complexity on the continent, and want to pursue careers in European affairs are eligible for the scholarship.

The Future of Europe Scholarship is for candidates who have shown an academic or professional interest in European collaboration and desire to pursue a degree in public policy or international affairs.

  • It’s possible to get a Master of Public Policy or a Master of International Affairs using this option.

Application for Hertie School Future of Europe Scholarship

How to make an application: To apply for a Scholarship at Hertie School;

  • To begin, fill out a regular application for the MPP or MIA program.
  • In addition, write a small essay answering one of the following questions:
  • The EU was formerly regarded as producing “policy without politics” in the early decades of European integration (Vivien Schmidt). Is this still true in the year 2020?
  • Is it beneficial or difficult for the European Union to “export” regulations and ideals beyond its borders?
  • Is EU membership a threat to national democracy? What’s the harm in that?

After submitting a conventional application, send the supplementary essay to [email protected]. The essay should be no more than two pages long.
