Hague Academy Short Course Training Scholarship in the Netherlands 2021/2022 (Fully Funded)

The Hague Academy is glad to announce that the Orange Knowledge application process and the MENA bond programs are open for the Hague Academy Short Course Training Scholarship.

Candidates who are interested can now enrol in one of our spring 2022 courses. The bursaries are financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

Inclusive and sustainable development at local levels, the Hague Academy is specialized in practical training programs for professionals involved.

The classes integrate theories and practices and give participants a higher level of awareness, inspiration and results-based work plans back home.

Scholarship worth

A Knowledge Orange Programme bursary is meant to augment your wage in the Netherlands over the course of your studies.

The benefit represents a contribution to the expenses of your life, tuition fees, visas, travel, insurance and the research of theses.

The bursar is expected to reimburse the difference between the real costs and the amount of the KOP NFP personal allowance, where applicable.

Requirements for Hague Academy Short Course Training Scholarship 2021

  • No age limit exists.
  • The candidate must be a national of one of the following nations of the OKP list, and he must work and live in them.
  • An organisation, for example: or multicultural companies (e.g. Shell, Unilever, Microsoft), or huge national and/or big commercial firms, or bilateral donor groups, must not employ a candidate The candidate (e.g. USAID, DFID, Danida, Sida, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, FinAid, AusAid, ADC, SwissAid).
  • The applicant must have a current employer statement in accordance with the required Nuffic format, or a multilateral donor organization (e.g. the United Nations, World Bank, IMF, Asian Bank for Development, African Development Bank, IADB) or an international NGB (e.g. Oxfam, plan, care).
  • All segments requested must be filled out.
  • Scanning the Employer statement with the original signature AND the organization’s stamp should be done, and ideally on the organization’s official letterhead.
  • The candidate shall have a government declaration which complies with the standards of the nation in where the employer is established, if applicable.
  • A passport is required to be valid at least four months after the application period.

  • No more than one scholarship must be awarded to the applicant for classes that occur simultaneously; 
  • Short courses are taught in English. It is crucial, then, that you have decent English (writing and speaking) skills. If this is applicable, please add IELTS or any other language skill scores.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, work with local or regional authorities, civil society organisations, local or regional nongovernmental organisations, etc. If the work/experience has to do with the substance of training it is to your advantage.

How to apply

  • The ALL criteria for Orange Knowledge Program Bursaries as indicated above must be met.
  • The application deadline should not exceed 45 years of age (+ 2 weeks). (This applies just to applications for MSP scholarship)
  • The candidate must have a valid, valid passport valid for the application deadline (+2 weeks), which must be nationals and residents in one of the nations on the following MSP country list valid at the time of the application.
