There is no indication on the number of prizes granted. The target audience includes all students, particularly international students.

Scholarship amount/Time

Every year, the scholarship sum varies between CHF 10,000 and CHF 15,000.

It is awarded for one year and is renewable if the applicant is academically successful at the end of the first semester and for the usual term of the chosen Master’s program (three or four semesters)

University of Lausanne Master’s Grants for Foreign Students:

The University of Lausanne in Switzerland offers UNIL Master’s grants to international students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree.

The award applicant will receive CHF 1,600 each month from September 15 to July 15, 2015, for a period not exceeding the program’s minimum duration.

The host institution is the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. Except for the following, all UNIL Master’s programs are offered in the following levels/fields of study:

  • The University of Zurich and the University of Lausanne have both given MASs in education and criminal law, respectively, as well as master’s degrees in physical education and sports didactics and health sciences (PhD program)
  • Only two emphases in the Master of Law are eligible for scholarships: “international and comparative law” and “legal theory.”
  • The target audience is international students. Approximately 10 scholarships have been given.
  • Scholarship duration and value A scholarship is awarded for the statutory minimum period of time necessary to finish the student’s chosen program (s).
  • CHF 1,600 will be paid every month from September 15 to July 15, or 10 months a year, unless a student fails after the first year of their master’s degree, in which case the payment will be cut to CHF 1,200.
  • Students who earn a scholarship will only be required to pay the CHF 80.00 fee every semester to meet the specified registration expenses for courses.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a university outside of France that is considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from UNIL.
  • To have established a reputation in your academic career, especially by very good marks.
  • Depending on the language of instruction for your chosen masters, the European Language Portfolio needs a B2 level of skill in French or English.
  • Not having previously belonged to the UNIL.

ETH Excellence Scholarships:

Students interested in pursuing a Master’s degree at ETH Zurich can apply for one of two scholarship programs:

The Excellence Scholarship & Opportunity Program (ESOP), which covers the entire cost of education and living, or the Master Scholarship Program (MSP).

Which offers partial stipends and the chance to work as an assistant.

The host institution is the ETH Zurich in Switzerland.

University-provided master’s degree programs are eligible.
