Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals is a competitive, fully-funded foreign scholarship program for master’s level study in Sweden.

The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals aspires to train future global leaders who will contribute to the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as well as positive and sustainable development in their home nations and regions.
Around 350 scholarships for master’s degree studies in Sweden will be awarded by the Swedish Institute in 2022.
The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is financing the initiative. It provides you with a once-in-a-lifetime chance to advance professionally and intellectually, to immerse yourself in Swedish society and culture, and to form lasting bonds with Swedish scholarship recipients.
Worth of Scholarship
Tuition fees are fully covered. SI pays the cost directly to your Swedish university at the start of each semester.
Monthly payment of SEK 10,000 will be made to support your living costs throughout your studies.

You become a member of the SI Alumni Network when your scholarship time has finished. As a member, you’ll have access to a one-of-a-kind opportunity for professional growth and networking. Local networks exist all over the globe, with over 15,000 brilliant graduates from more than 140 countries.
The scholarship includes a travel grant of SEK 15,000 for Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cameroon, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Morocco, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This is a one-time payment that does not apply to students who have previously established residency in Sweden.
The scholarship includes a travel allowance of SEK 10,000 for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, the Russian Federation, and Ukraine for the whole study year. This is a one-time payment that does not apply to students who have previously established residency in Sweden.
The following items are not covered by the scholarship:
- Additional funds are available for family members.
- There is a charge for applying to university admissions.
Requirements for the Swedish Institute Scholarships
- You must be a citizen of one of the SI scholarship-eligible countries.
- You must have a minimum of 3,000 hours of work experience to be considered.
- SI scholarships must be available for the master’s programs you apply to.
- Depending on your nation of citizenship, they give precedence to programs in certain subject areas.
- By April 7, 2022, you must be responsible to pay tuition fees to Swedish institutions, have completed the University Admissions process, and be accepted to one of the qualifying master’s programs.
- You must have exhibited leadership experience in your present or past jobs, as well as in your civic commitments.
- Other requirements include dual citizenship, prior residence or study in Sweden, and more. It’s worth noting that the selection priority will alter in various ways based on citizenship nations.
