Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Youth Forum 2022 for Young Tanzanians

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Youth Forum 2022 is now accepting applications.

The Youth Forum [YLF] is a multidisciplinary program focused on national, continental, and global social, economic, and political concerns. It brings together bright, energetic young people and political activists fighting for social justice and democracy.

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a non-profit German organization located in Bonn and Berlin and supported by the Federal Republic of Germany. It was formed in 1925 and is named after Friedrich Ebert, Germany’s first democratically elected President.

Through civic education, research, and international collaboration, FES is dedicated to the promotion of both socio-political and economic development in the spirit of social democracy. The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is Germany’s oldest political foundation.

Requirements for the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Youth Forum

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • between the ages of 21 and 35;
  • Those who have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent;
  • With a passion for politics;
  • Active in civic society, political parties, or labor unions and/or involved in a project or initiative.

How to Apply for the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Youth Forum

Send your application, which should include a one-page motivation letter and a full CV in PDF format, to [email protected] or drop it off at the FES office on Mwai Kibaki Road by 14.00 hours on Thursday, February 17th, 2022.

Your motivation letter should include your community service and describe what you want to gain from the YLF.

It should respond to the following inquiries:

  • What are your motivations for applying to this program (professional or personal)?
  • How will your involvement contribute to your community’s (or) organization’s transformation?
  • What do you bring to the table? Which of your (professional) abilities, knowledge, and experiences do you think will be most useful in completing this program?
  • What else have you been engaged in (scientifically, politically, socially, or culturally) apart from your studies?

Only those who have been shortlisted will be informed. The interviews will take place in Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar in March 2022.
