Undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt, as well as China, Serbia, and Romania, are eligible for the Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) Awards.

Federal Government Scholarships Awards Requirement
Applicants must satisfy the following conditions to be eligible for the Bilateral Education Agreement Scholarship 2022:
- All undergraduate candidates must have at least seven (7) distinctions (As and Bs) in the Senior Secondary School Certificates, WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) in subjects relevant to their areas of study, including English Language and Mathematics. Non-African nations’ certificates should not be older than two years (2020 & 2021), whereas African countries’ certificates should be no older than one year (2021). The age range is 17 to 20 years old.
- All postgraduate candidates must have a first-class or at least a second-class upper-division bachelor’s degree. All candidates must have completed the NYSC program, and the age restriction for Masters and PhD programs is 35 years and 40 years, respectively.
FIELDS OF STUDY:
- Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics, Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (very restricted), Pilot Engineering, Neurologist, and other fields at the undergraduate level.
- In all subjects, postgraduate level (Master’s Degree and PhD).
General Note for All Applicants:
- Because the BEA nations do not speak English, candidates must complete a one-year foreign language course in the country of their choosing, which will be the normal medium of teaching.
- All Hungarian Scholarship candidates must visit the website www.stipendiumhungaricum.hu, which started on November 18, 2021, and closes on January 15, 2022, to apply for up to two areas of study in order of choice. Fill out the online application form.
- All Russian Postgraduate Scholarship candidates must have earned their first degree in Russia.
- The following certifications must be uploaded electronically by all applicants.
- UNDERGRADUATE (UG): WAEC/WASSCE
- POSTGRADUATE (PG): 1st Degree Certificate, Master’s Degree WAEC/WASSCE, Indigene Letter, and NYSC Discharge Certificate
NB: Candidates nominated by the Board will be required to submit to Federal Scholarship Board the following:
- Copies of academic credentials that have been authenticated;
- The current international passport’s data page;
- Medical reports from government hospitals that are specific in nature;
- a copy of your birth certificate and a letter confirming your ancestry
- If required, a police clearance certificate.
