Croatian Government Scholarships 2022/2023 for Swiss Students

The Croatian Government Scholarships 2022/2023 are now accepting applications.

Scholarships are available through the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia and the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs to a number of countries, including Switzerland.

For the school year 2022/2023, Swiss candidates can apply for the following two scholarship programs:

  • A1 Students studying Croatian for one semester (mobility: 4-5 months): Students (BA or MA) who wish to spend one semester learning Croatian and developing their Croatian language abilities at either the University of Zagreb (Croaticum) or the University of Rijeka are eligible for type A1 scholarships (Rijeka School of Slavic Studies).
  • F In August 2022, a 10-day summer seminar on Croatian language and literature will be held: The Croatian Seminar for Foreign Slavic Studies Students, organized by the Zagreb School of Slavic Studies in Dubrovnik, receives a category F scholarship (21-31 August 2022).

Scholarship

Benefits for undergraduate and graduate students (A1)

  • Monthly stipend of 1.600,00 HRK
  • subsidized student housing in a residential hall
  • Meals at student eateries are subsidized.

Benefits for the summer seminar in terms of money (F)

  • a tuition-free program
  • Accommodation and food are provided for free.
  • a cultural event

Requirements for the Croatian Government Scholarships 2022/2023 | Eligibility Criteria

  • A1 One semester studies for Croatian language students
  1. Open to Croatian language students and Slavic Studies students in their native countries who are presently enrolled in BA or MA programs.
  2. Students must have completed at least two semesters at their home universities before applying.
  • F Croatian language and literature summer seminar
  1. Open to Croatian language students and Slavic Studies students who are presently engaged in studies (at the time of application for the grant).
  2. Students must have completed at least two semesters at their home universities before applying.
  3. Lecturers (teachers, senior assistants with a PhD degree, and teaching/research assistants) in foreign universities who teach Croatian language and literature are also eligible.

There are two phases to the application process for Swiss applicants:
