Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Masters Scholarship at University College London 2022

For the academic year 2022/23, University College London is accepting applications for the Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Masters Scholarship.

In the most current Research Excellence Framework, UCL was ranked first in the UK for research strength. To date, it has 30 Nobel Prize laureates among its graduates and present and former employees.

Worth of Scholarship

This scholarship covers the following expenses:

  • full tuition expenses in another country,
  • a stipend to cover living and study costs (£15,364) for the duration of the program at UCL,
  • a flight to/from the United Kingdom,
  • The cost of a UK study visa,
  • The cost of an English language evaluation
  • the price of a health test
  • The cost of applying for a master’s program and
  • In the United Kingdom, there is a payment for the NHS health supplement.
  • Throughout their studies, all Promise scholars will get ongoing academic and professional assistance.

Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Masters Scholarship | Eligibility Criteria

Candidates for the Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan African scholarship must meet the following requirements:

  • be a citizen of one of the Sub-Saharan African (SSA) nations on The Bartlett’s authorized list to be a resident of an eligible SSA country
  • must not be a British citizen or a dual British citizen
  • have an unconditional or conditional offer of admission to a Bartlett master’s program for study in 2022/23, which is either unconditional or conditional only on your ability to communicate in English.
  • be in need of financial assistance as determined by UCL

In addition, applicants who satisfy any of the following criteria will be given serious consideration:

  • Be
  • a migrant who has been forcibly relocated
  • the family’s first generation to attend university on a full-time basis
  • the first generation in the family to complete a postgraduate degree at a university

Prospective students are nationals of Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Republic of Congo, Cote D’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

How to Apply for the Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Masters Scholarship

You’ll need to upload your transcript from your bachelor’s degree. This has to be written in English. Your university or a licensed translator must prepare any translations.

You can provide proof of your English ability if you are not from a majority English-speaking nation’ and already have proof of your English ability.

A personal statement and two references are required. Academic references should be included in at least one (and ideally both) of your references (from someone who has taught you). A professional reference is an option.

Your personal statement should demonstrate your excitement for the subject while also exhibiting motivation, enthusiasm, and the abilities necessary to thrive at university.

The Bartlett Promise Sub-Saharan Africa Masters Scholarship application deadline is April 18, 2022, at 23:45 BST.
