AWIEF USAID-funded Program

Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia are among the countries participating in the AWIEF 8-week program, which aims to improve the investor readiness, export readiness, and competitiveness of 100 SMEs in nine Southern African countries: Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia. The training will assist your organization in strengthening its governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management skills.

To increase export commerce for SMEs, the initiative uses the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), a United States Trade Act that greatly improves market access to the US for qualified Sub-Saharan African (SSA) nations and is valid through 2025. Agriculture, agro-processing, textiles, and apparel are among the priority industrial sectors.
