Call for Proposals: AWDF World AIDS Day & 16 Days of Activism Grants 2022
Proposals for the AWDF World AIDS Day & 16 Days of Activism Grants 2022 are now being accepted.
The AWDF is accepting submissions for “Young women-led initiatives to tackling digital/online safety for women and girls” for the 2022 Sixteen Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
The African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) will consider applications from women’s groups and organizations, particularly those led by young women or girls, with the goal of educating, raising awareness, and increasing online safety and enjoyment, as well as preventing online violence and abuse against young women and girls.
AWDF will sponsor work on the topic “Using technology to minimize HIV-related stigma and new infections among young women” for World AIDS Day 2022.
AWDF seeks submissions from women-led organizations and women’s groups for work addressing stigma and discrimination against women living with HIV, as well as facilitating access to treatment and services, utilizing digital technologies like mobile phones, social media, and online apps. They will prioritize work that is innovative and creative in promoting public awareness about HIV prevention and stigma reduction, as well as contributing to positive changes in societal norms that underlie stigma and discrimination, which increase the susceptibility of young women and girls to HIV.
Grant
African women-led organizations with budgets under $100,000 are invited to submit applications for modest grants of no more than $2,000 in this call for proposals.
