Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarship 2022
A new application round is now available for the Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarship 2022/2023 for the academic session.

Every year, the Austrian Development Cooperation provides funds to students from underdeveloped countries who seek to study in Austria to pay their tuition and living costs.
Scholarships are available through the Austrian Development Cooperation in two forms:
- Scholarship for ADC’s priority countries
- Scholarship for other developing countries

Nationality: Developing countries and ADC’s
The scholarships are generally awarded to ADC’s priority countries and other developing countries as follows;
Scholarship for ADC Priority Countries
Limited to applicants from the following countries:
- Ethiopia
- Uganda
- Burkina Faso
- Mozambique
- Bhutan
- Palestinian Territories
- Georgia
- Armenia
Scholarship for developing countries
Open to all developing countries by definition
Eligible Fields in Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarship
The Austrian Development Scholarships 2022/2023 can be used for any of the modules below.
General Module including the Special Modules:
- Hospitality Management Module or
- Tourism Management Module
Additional Module: Teacher Training Module (TT)
Scholarship Benefits for Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarship
For the ADC’s, the scholarship includes:
- Tuition fee
- Accommodation
- Flight tickets (from home country to Salzburg and back)
- Health insurance
- Food from Monday – Sunday
- Excursions (except field trip to ITB Berlin)
- €205,- pocket money per month
While for other developing countries, the scholarship includes:
- Tuition fee
- Health insurance
- Food from Monday – Friday
- Excursions (except ITB Berlin)
- €205,- pocket money per month
Application for Austrian Development Cooperation Scholarship
How to Apply: Please keep in mind that receiving a scholarship is not automatic and is very tough. To apply, follow the procedures below:
- Contact an Austrian consulate or embassy for information about ITH.
- Fill up the ITH application form. This form is also used by Austrian embassies and consulates.
- The application process is simple: all applications should be sent directly to the Institute.
- As a result, the Institute must receive the application by March 22 at the latest.
- Confirmation – By the end of April, you will be notified of the outcome of your application. A letter of acceptance will be sent to you if you have been granted a scholarship.
