Arrell Global Food Innovation Awards 2022

The Arrell Global Food Innovation Awards 2022 are now accepting nominations.

Arrell Global Food Innovation Awards

The Arrell Global Food Innovation Awards honor outstanding achievement in food innovation and community impact throughout the world.

The Arrell Food Institute honors global leaders who are guaranteeing the planet’s future food security and seeks to motivate new leaders to make radical changes.

To meet the difficulties of feeding 9 billion people and beyond, our planet will need scientific brilliance and community participation.

In 2022, two awards will be given:

Research Impact

One prize will be given to a researcher, or a group of researchers, who have made major advances in food production, processing, distribution, consumption, safety, and/or human nutrition, with a substantial benefit to food systems or society.

Food science, agriculture’s environmental impact, crop or livestock genetics, agroecology, soil health, food animal health and production, pest management, supply chain management, food processing, food packaging, food safety, food consumption, human nutrition, and food retail/marketing are some of the likely topics.

Community Impact

The other prize will be given to a person or group of people who have made a significant contribution to enhanced nutritional health and/or food security, with an emphasis on disadvantaged populations.

Food sovereignty, food production, food distribution/access, food insecurity, community development and governance, household nutrition, urban poverty, traditional food systems, socioeconomic policy, underserved community empowerment, and food and nutrition literacy are all likely topics.
