Scholarships are awarded by the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Foundation (AIAS) to students and early professionals in game design, production, or business who aspire to make a name for themselves in the games industry through their dedication, passion, and interest in pushing the medium of interactive entertainment forward.

Eligibility Criteria for the AIAS Foundation Scholarship 2022

Applicants must satisfy the following requirements to be eligible for the AIAS Foundation Scholarship:

  • During the 2022-23 academic school year, you must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an authorized institution or university OR working as an early professional (within their first two years in the industry).
  • By February 6th, 2023, you must be 21 years old or older. If under the age of 21, they must confirm that they are ineligible to participate in any D.I.C.E. summit events, including the on-site mentor program.
  • Academic institutions must be accredited by the country’s or nations’ standard and customary university/college-approved institution(s).
  • A minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale is required.

How to Apply for the AIAS Foundation Scholarship

To be considered for the AIAS Foundation Scholarship, candidates must complete an online application and provide the following documents:

  • Personal statement of two pages (maximum) that includes information on your studies and how they can assist the gaming industry, as well as a statement about your service, leadership, character, and financial necessity.
  • Two current, signed letters of reference from current academic program colleagues or teachers, administrators, and other professors who know you personally.
  • Students must provide an online transcript and evidence of enrollment, while early career professionals must submit proof of employment.
