AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarship at Australian National University 2022

For the 2022/2023 academic year, the Commonwealth Department of Education and Training is accepting applications from overseas students for the Australian Government Research Training (AGRTP) International Fee Offset Scholarship in Australia.

The Australian Government has replaced the International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (IPRS) with a single program, the Australian Government Research Training Program, which will begin on 1 January 2022. (AGRTP or RTP).

Because current support programs will end on January 1, 2022, the University must move all IPRS grantees to the new Australian Government Research Training Program International Fee Offset Scholarship as required by law.

Worth of Scholarship

Tuition expenses are covered for three years, with the option of two six-month extensions.

provides international student health insurance for the duration of the program (Student Visa Subclass 500 only) for the student and their immediate family.

Requirements for the AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarship

A student must be a domestic or international student participating in an authorized HDR programme of study at an Australian HEP to be eligible for an RTP Stipend, RTP Fees Offset, or RTP Allowance.

How to Apply for the AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarship

There is no need to submit a separate application for this award because all qualified candidates will be evaluated.

To be included in the scholarship ranking process, applications must be complete at the time of submission, including all supporting documents and referee reports.

Prior to submitting an application, applicants are strongly urged to contact the appropriate Graduate Studies Convener or a potential supervisor to discuss the suggested research subject and related topics.

Students must apply for admission by April 15 of the year prior to beginning their HDR program or August 31 of the year prior to beginning their HDR program to be included in the main round of scholarships.
