Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship 2022
The Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship application cycle for 2022-23 is officially open and will run from January 1 to March 31, 2022.

Application forms may be received through the Aga Khan Foundation or the Aga Khan Education Board/Service office in the applicant’s current residency nation during this time period.
Each year, the Aga Khan Foundation awards a limited number of postgraduate scholarships to outstanding students from select developing countries who have no other means of funding their studies, with the goal of developing effective scholars and leaders and preparing them for employment, primarily within the AKDN.

Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship Requirements
Geographic Scope
The Foundation accepts applications from nationals of the following countries:
Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, and Mozambique.
In France, Portugal, the UK, USA, and Canada, applications are accepted from those who are originally from one of the above-developing countries, are interested in development-related studies and who have no other means of financing their education.
Residency Requirement
The Foundation only accepts applications of eligible nationals listed above who are residing in one of the countries where there are local Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), Aga Khan Education Services (AKES), or Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB) offices which process applications and interview candidates.
Age Limit
Preference is given to students under 30 years of age.
The Award Details
Assistance with finances
The Foundation exclusively helps students with their tuition and living costs.
The AKF scholarships do not cover the expense of travel. The ISP provides financial aid based on the requirements of students, although it must be regarded as a lender of last option.
Loan Requirements
Half of the scholarship money is considered a loan, and it must be repaid with a 5% yearly service fee.
The loan agreement must be co-signed by a guarantor.
The repayment term is five years, beginning six months following the Aga Khan Foundation-funded research period.
Application for Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship
How to Apply: The AKF’s International Scholarship Program has a decentralized application process.
Students may get application forms through AKF offices or Aga Khan Education Services / Boards in their countries of current residency beginning on January 1st of each year.
Completed applications should be returned to the organization that provided the form.
It is not necessary to send them to Geneva.
Application Deadline: 31 March 2022 (some country deadlines may vary).
